MY STORY
I didn’t plan to become the person who helps women start over.
But life taught me how to rebuild—and eventually I realized I could help other women do the same.
I worked two jobs to put myself through college and earned my bachelor's degree. It wasn't easy — there were plenty of long nights and early mornings — but that path led me somewhere I hadn't expected: a twenty-year career in healthcare, working with major corporations and learning how to be resourceful, resilient, and self-reliant along the way. Nothing about it was handed to me, and that shaped everything that came after.
I got married and had two children two years apart, all while building a demanding career in corporate healthcare. I was juggling more than I probably realized at the time — trying to be present for my kids, show up at work, and hold a marriage together.
When my children were still very young, our marriage ended in divorce. It wasn't the life I had pictured, and it meant rebuilding a new normal for my family from the ground up. Still, I co-parented with their dad, and for the next few years we found our rhythm as a family that looked different than I'd imagined but was still full of love. Then, five years ago, unexpectedly, he passed away.
Almost overnight, I became a sole parent — not just financially responsible for two grieving kids, but also the one who had to hold everything together while figuring out how to grieve myself. I was grieving the father of my children, and grieving the life I had quietly built through divorce — the future I had pictured that no longer existed. I was in a very dark place, and it took me years to find my way out of it. We started weekly therapy immediately, and I learned, slowly and imperfectly, how to guide my children through loss while also taking care of my own healing.
I want to be honest with you about something: my life has not always looked like this, and I have not always looked like this. There were times I looked in the mirror and just felt dead in the eyes. I didn't feel right. I didn't look right. And none of what changed that happened by magic, and it didn't happen overnight. I took it one deliberate step at a time — researching, asking for help, trying things that didn't work until I found the ones that did.
Some days it was about getting out of bed. Some days it was about lowering my stress enough to function. And somewhere along the way, I realized healing wasn't just about the inside — I wanted to feel strong and confident in my body again too, not because it would fix anything, but because it was part of coming back to myself.
Along this journey, I met a man, my now husband, who walked through every bit of it with me. Around the same time my ex-husband had passed away, he became seriously ill with COVID — it was one of the hardest seasons any of us had faced, all at once. Somehow, together, we made it through and built a life on the other side of it all. He saw the work I was already doing for so many women in my life and encouraged me to turn it into something more — a business built on everything I'd learned and lived. I owe him more gratitude than words can capture.
Just three months into our marriage, I faced an unexpected health issue of my own — one that took months to recover from and asked me to lean on every tool I'd already learned to use. It was life-changing in a way I couldn't have predicted, and I look at everything differently because of it. By the grace of God, I'm here today — and healthier than I've ever been.
Five years later, I can tell you: it gets better. My children have grief that will always be part of their story, but they are thriving. I left my corporate career to build something new — a business rooted in everything I learned. Our family has found its footing again, together.
Along the way…
—I started helping other women — friends, and friends of friends, who were going through their own versions of this: divorce, loss, midlife upheaval, not knowing where to start. I found I had something real to offer: a trusted network of providers, resources, and a firsthand understanding of exactly how hard — and how possible — this journey is.
That's what I want to offer you. Not another to-do list, and not empty encouragement, but a guide who's already walked the path, done the research, and built the network, so you don't have to start from scratch. You don't have to have it figured out. You just have to be ready to begin.
your next chapter starts here.
You don’t have to figure it all out at once. You just have to take the next step.
